With many countries and state and local governments banning large gatherings to slow the spread of the coronavirus, sports have been shut down across the world since mid-March.
But sports are starting to return in ways big and small as the PGA Tour, NASCAR and MMA have returned to action in the United States and soccer has resumed in Germany and Spain.
The NBA's board of governors approved a plan to return to action on July 31 in Orlando with 22 teams playing eight final regular season games before a full playoff schedule.
