During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings looked for players at multiple positions to help improve their team for many years to come. One of the spots the franchise looked to upgrade was the interior of the defensive line, where a player was drafted to compete for the spot next to recent addition Michael Pierce.
With pick No. 130 overall in the fourth round, the Vikings chose the select James Lynch, a disruptive force on the defensive line from Baylor, who played multiple spots on the line during his NCAA career.
Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 289 pounds, Lynch is an interesting addition to a defense that has found a lot of success rushing the passer in the past.
