That’s the latest theory, or at least side note mentioned by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Cousins will hit open free agency on Monday if the Minnesota Vikings don’t extend his contract. As of March 6th, it actually feels more likely that Cousins leaves than stays, especially because sportsbooks list the Atlanta Falcons as the frontrunner for his services.
