On Friday afternoon at the White House, one of the Minnesota Vikings’ all-time great players received the nation’s highest civilian honor.
Former Vikings’ defensive tackle Alan Page was one of seven people to be presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. The Presidential Medal of Freedom recognizes those people who have made “an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors”
You can see the video of the ceremony below. If you want to skip straight to Justice Page receiving his award, you can go to the 1:35 mark.
