BRISTOL, Conn. -- Hello from ESPN headquarters, where all 32 of us NFL Nation reporters are gathered this week for our annual summit and mock draft. We'll be making our picks at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday night on ESPN; you can tune in at that point to see who I pick for the Vikings.
In the meantime, we're taking a look this week at four key positions for the Vikings in the 2016 draft, leading up to the start of the first round on Thursday night. We'll kick things off at wide receiver, where many mock drafts have the Vikings using the 23rd overall pick to find a target for Teddy Bridgewater:
Position: Wide receiver
Current personnel: Stefon Diggs (signed through 2018), Jarius Wright (2019), Charles Johnson (2016), Adam Thielen (2016), Cordarrelle Patterson (2016),
Projected starters: Diggs and Wright, though the Vikings could look for a split end in the first round or hope they see improvement from within.
