Part of the issue with the Minnesota Vikings swinging their big trade for former Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive end Yannick Ngakoue was how to make things work with the salary cap. Under his one-year franchise tender, Ngakoue was set to make a shade under $18 million for the 2020 season, and the Vikings don’t have that much cap space available.
