Vikings will sign former Bengals LB Emmanuel Lamur

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings brought another one of Mike Zimmer's former players to Minnesota on Tuesday afternoon, boosting their linebacker depth in the process.

According to a league source, the Vikings will sign former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur, who spent his first two years in the NFL with Zimmer, to a two-year contract. The 6-foot-4 linebacker played in nine games for the Bengals in 2012, before missing all of 2013 with a shoulder injury, and started 15 games over the last two years with Cincinnati.

Lamur played the strong-side linebacker position in the Bengals' defense, and should slide into a similar role with the Vikings, where he can provide some depth behind Anthony Barr.
