Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Vikings are placing rookie TE Bucky Hodges on waivers with an injury designation Sunday.
Should Hodges pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Monday.
Hodges, 22, was taken in the sixth-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Vikings. He signed a four-year, $2.55-million contract with the Vikings and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement.
