On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings made the signing of wide receiver Dede Westbrook official. In order to make room for him on the 90-man roster, the team had to make a move. The move they’ve made may look a little surprising on the surface, but is a procedural move to set up something else.
The team has waived rookie defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman in order to clear a spot for Westbrook. This is a move that the Vikings have to make in order to move Twyman to their reserve/non-football injury (NFI) list.
