On Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings made a minor roster move involving the release of a former Minnesota Golden Gopher.
The team has announced that they have released cornerback Jalen Myrick, who spent most of last season on the Vikings’ practice squad.
Myrick played his collegiate career with the Golden Gophers, and was then selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In 2018, he was signed by the Vikings to the practice squad on three different occasions, getting waived twice in between, and finally signed a futures contract with the Vikings at the conclusion of the regular season.
