The Minnesota Vikings made the decision to bring in former XFL running back Abram Smith this week. He joins a crowded RB room with Alexander Mattison, Ty Chandler, Kene Nwangwu, and DeWayne McBride.
However, the addition of Smith meant Minnesota had to clear up a roster spot, and as a result, the Vikings waived another hometown product in FB Zach Ojile.
The team tweeted on Friday, “The #Vikings have signed RB Abram Smith (@abramsmith_28) and waived FB Zach Ojile.”

Ojile, an undrafted free agent, spent his collegiate days at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
