Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn was like a fan Thursday. On Friday, he sounded like a coach.
Munnerlyn was rooting for Detroit to beat Green Bay, which would have helped the Vikings in the NFC North race. Instead, the Packers won 27-23 on a dramatic 61-yard "Hail Mary" pass from Aaron Rodgers to Richard Rodgers on the final play.
"You've got to box out," Munnerlyn said Friday about what the Lions defense did wrong Thursday. "You can't let a guy be a free jumper."
A Packers loss would have given the Vikings (8-3) a game and a half lead over Green Bay entering Minnesota's game Sunday against Seattle at TCF Bank Stadium.
