When the Minnesota Vikings take to the field at U.S. Bank Stadium in 2024, the playing surface will be a bit different from what they’re used to.
Per numerous sources, led by Kevin Seifert of ESPN, the Vikings will be replacing the turf at U.S. Bank Stadium in time for next season.
The Vikings are, currently, one of three teams that are currently playing on what is called “slit-film” turf, a surface that is associated with a higher rate of non-contact injuries than other surfaces. In its place, the team will be installing a type of turf that is known as “Act Global Xtreme Turf DX.
