Coming into the game as underdogs, the Minnesota Vikings took care of business against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, defeating them in the “Black Hole” by a score of 30-14.
With many great performances in that game, it’s difficult to recognize any one individual. However, 37-year-old cornerback Terence Newman had such a strong showing that he was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week from the NFL for week 10 according to Vikings.com.
Newman picked off two passes in the contest, adding five pass breakups and four tackles in the game, with two of those pass defenses coming near the end of the game when the Oakland Raiders were trying to make a comeback.
