Even with Adrian Peterson back on the field, Teddy Bridgewater says it's way too early to think about any championship parades.
With Peterson rejoining the Vikings this week after missing all but one game last season because of a child-abuse incident, some prognosticators already are calling them a contender. The star running back will team up with Bridgewater, a second-year quarterback, and recently acquired wide receiver Mike Wallace to give Minnesota a potentially explosive offensive.
Hold on, Bridgewater said Wednesday. The regular-season opener is still four months away.
"It's easy to sit here and say how good we can be, but it's still early June and it's too early to tell," Bridgewater said during a break from some Vikings players' visit with students at Falcon Heights Elementary School.
