The Vikings likely will need to clear roster spots over the next several weeks for a couple of injured players, center John Sullivan and cornerback Josh Robinson.
Sullivan ran Monday for the first time since his Sept. 9 back surgery, and he is optimistic about being returning for action in the Nov. 8 game against St. Louis. Robinson, on the physically unable to perform list with a partially torn pectoral muscle, said Monday he hopes to return to practice next week and perhaps even play Oct. 25 at Detroit.
The Vikings returned to practice Monday after a week off.
