MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — There’s a major milestone to celebrate in the construction of the new home for the Minnesota Vikings.
There will be a topping off ceremony at the new Vikings stadium, U.S. Bank Stadium, Thursday. That means crews will put the highest and last steel beam into place at the construction site.
There is still a lot of work that needs to be done both inside and outside of the stadium before it opens in July of 2016. But after today, all of the steel beams will be in place.
The Vikings do not play until Sunday, but you can get your football fix tonight (Thursday) on WCCO.
