The Vikings added another player to their competition for interior line spots on Thursday afternoon, when they announced they’d signed former Jets guard Dakota Dozier.
Dozier, who spent seven seasons with the Jets, comes to the Vikings after playing last season for new offensive line coach/run game coordinator Rick Dennison in New York. The 6-5, 310-pounder started a pair of games for the Jets last season, appearing in six and playing largely at left guard.
Adding Dozier, 27, gives the Vikings another player to compete for the left guard spot opposite Josh Kline, who figures to start at right guard.
