The Minnesota Vikings made another roster move on Tuesday, bringing in a new linebacker while moving on from some of the competition at cornerback.
The team announced on Tuesday morning that they had signed linebacker Hardy Nickerson. To make room on the 80-man roster, the team waived cornerback Marcus Sayles.
Sayles signed with the Vikings back in early January, shortly after he was named a CFL West All-Star and his Winnipeg Blue Bombers won the Grey Cup for the first time in nearly 30 years. The Vikings have a lot of young cornerbacks to keep an eye on during this Training Camp, and apparently Sayles just wasn’t up to what the rest of the group was providing.
