Vikings Sign John Lowdermilk To The Practice Squad

On Tuesday, the Minnesota Vikings shuffled their practice squad a bit, adding someone with a name that should sound familiar to long-time fans of the team.

The Vikings signed safety John Lowdermilk to the practice squad. He is the son of Kirk Lowdermilk, who played center for the Vikings from 1985 to 1992.

John Lowdermilk played his college ball at Iowa, and went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent, but was released by the Chargers before the start of the 2014 season.
