EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings decided last month that Joe Berger would be their starting center for the 2016 season. On Friday, they made sure they'd have Berger's services in 2017, too.
The team signed Berger to a two-year contract on Friday, which supersedes the deal he had for 2016 and keeps him in Minnesota through the 2017 season. Terms of the deal were not available on Friday, but Berger, who had a $985,000 non-guaranteed base salary for this season, figures to have gotten some guaranteed money and a raise as part of the deal.
