MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Vikings announced a pair of roster moves on Monday that might hint they’ll be a little healthier when they face the Chicago Bears on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium.
The Vikings signed defensive end Justin Trattou to the active roster. To make room for him, they released safety Shaun Prater. Trattou has been active for two games this season and has one assisted tackle, one pass defended and an interception.
The Vikings were incredibly thin due to injuries when they lost 23-20 last Thursday to the Cardinals in Arizona. They were without Harrison Smith and Andrew Sendejo, both of their starting safeties, as well as nose tackle Linval Joseph and linebacker Anthony Barr.
