MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Vikings announced two signings on Monday, and one of them played for the Gophers.
The Vikings signed rookie Tre Roberson out of Illinois State, who also played at Indiana. He was a quarterback at both schools, but the Vikings have him listed as a cornerback.
The Vikings also signed former Gophers wide receiver Troy Stoudermire. He finished his Minnesota career as the all-time leader in the NCAA for kick return return yards with 3,615 on 144 returns, an average of more than 25 yards per return.
Stoudermire was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals in April of 2013 before spending the 2014 season between two teams in the Canadian Football League.
