Vikings Rumors: New Stadium Is One Year Away From Completion

U.S. Bank Stadium is now 65 percent complete, the Minnesota Vikings said Monday morning, with $550 million of work already finished. The 1,200-person crew is doing a reported $1.5 million of construction each day, but there are several more milestones to go.

The stadium's first seats will be installed next month, while the clear plastic roof should be complete by November and the ribbon scoreboards around the stadium will be installed by December. The locker rooms will be finished next April, and the stadium's turf will be installed by May.

"To be a mere 12 months from opening what will be one of the world's most architecturally-unique stadiums is incredibly exciting," Vikings president Mark Wilf said in a statement.
