Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks had a smorgasbord of emotions during his first day of training camp on Sunday in Mankato.
"I was a little nervous, very anxious," Kendricks, the Vikings' second-round draft pick (No. 45 overall), said. "My mind was scattering a little bit, but I had a great time. It's back to football, and this is what I love."
Sunday provided the first peek at camp for top draft picks such as Kendricks and cornerback Trae Waynes -- the 11th overall selection in April.
"I thought it went good," Waynes said. "Obviously, there's a lot more that can be improved on, but for the first day it wasn't too bad.
