Against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings third and fourth-string units blew a 23-6 lead late in the fourth quarter on Thursday and it resulted in the Vikings getting their first loss of the 2019 preseason.
A lot of Minnesota rookies that we haven’t seen since the first week of the preseason played prominent roles in Thursday’s matchup against the Bills. Vikings quarterback Jake Browning returned to action, as did receivers like Davion Davis and Alexander Hollins. We also got long looks at tight end Brandon Dillon and a number of young Minnesota defenders including Kris Boyd and Marcus Epps.
