Vikings rookie center Pat Elflein will undergo surgery on his left ankle

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings rookie center Pat Elflein will undergo surgery to repair the reported fracture he sustained in his left ankle during the NFC Championship.

A source confirmed to ESPN that Dr. Robert Anderson, a renowned foot and ankle surgeon, will perform surgery on Elflein in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Anderson joined the Packers' medical staff last June and practices at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedic, which is adjacent to Lambeau Field.

Anderson also has an office in Charlotte, where he previously served as an assistant team physician for the Carolina Panthers.
