With the start of free agency now less than a week away, the Minnesota Vikings have cleared a little more room under the salary cap.
On Thursday, the team announced that they had restructured the contract of punter Britton Colquitt. Colquitt will now make the veteran minimum for the 2021 season, a move that gives the Vikings $1.3 million in salary cap space. This gives the Vikings a little over $10 million in cap room with (hopefully) more moves to be made before the start of free agency on Wednesday.
Colquitt came to the Vikings before the start of the 2019 season.
