Vikings guard Mike Harris said "everybody'' expected the ball would go to Adrian Peterson. Instead, it went to Zach Line.
The 235-pound fullback scored the first touchdown of his career in the Vikings' 26-16 victory over Detroit on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium. The 1-yard run with 8:54 left in the third quarter put Minnesota up 23-10.
"It was a pretty special moment, your first NFL touchdown," Line said. "It's kind of one of those things you dream about. I have to give all the props to the O-line. It was just a gaping hole, and I dove past the white line.
