The Vikings released 11 players Sunday, trimming their roster to 78 in advance of Tuesday, when it must be cut to 75.
The most notable player released was running back Joe Banyard. Other veterans released were tight end Brandon Bostick, cornerback Jalil Carter, tackle Stephen Goodin, linebacker Josh Kaddu, defensive end Caesar Rayford and cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke.
Rookies released were cornerback Justin Coleman, wide receiver DaVaris Daniels, wide receiver Jordan Leslie and defensive tackle Crishon Rose.
