Have a second-year quarterback who could use a mentor? Call Shaun Hill.
Hill backed up Alex Smith in San Francisco during his second season of 2006 and Matt Stafford in Detroit during his sophomore year of 2010. Now, he has been brought to Minnesota, where second-year man Teddy Bridgewater is the starter.
Hill, who originally played for the Vikings from 2002-05, returned earlier this year on a two-year, $6.5 million contract. While the Vikings trust Hill if he's needed for starting duty, his most vital contribution could be working with Bridgewater, who showed great promise as a rookie.
