Heading into Sunday’s game against the winless Buffalo Bills, many believed there was absolutely no way the Minnesota Vikings would leave U.S. Bank Stadium with a loss.
Well not only did the Vikings lose to the Bills this week, Minnesota was flat out embarrassed in front of their home crowd. After giving up a quick 17 points to Buffalo in the first quarter, the Vikings were never able to recover and ended up losing 27-6.
Minnesota began Sunday by allowing the Bills offense to march 75 yards down the field for a touchdown. Buffalo got the points thanks to a 10-yard run by rookie quarterback Josh Allen, but the Vikings’ defense shot themselves in the foot with two critical 15-yard penalties on the drive.
