In something that has been expected for quite awhile now, the Minnesota Vikings have announced that defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd has been placed on injured reserve. The team also announced the promotion of defensive tackle Toby Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster.
Floyd has not played in a game this season since Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. The defensive tackle has been out of action since undergoing knee surgery a couple of months ago.
Since getting drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft out Florida, Floyd has not exactly lived up to the expectations that come with being selected with such a high pick.
