We’ve speculated about which players the Minnesota Vikings might place on injured reserve as they trim their roster to 53 players. Because of a new NFL rule, teams can place two players on IR as a part of their final cuts while still reserving the ability to designate them for return later in the year.
Well, the Vikings have filled one of those spots, and they’ve filled it with a player that it doesn’t appear a lot of people had thought would end up there.
The team has announced that they have placed offensive lineman Dalton Risner on injured reserve.
