It’s been a pretty busy Monday at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center. Between signing GM Rick Spielman to a contract extension and trading a draft pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for defensive tackle P.J. Hall, we’ve finally seen some action. The Vikings made several other moves on Monday as well, so let’s get everyone caught up on those.
The Vikings have placed linebacker Ben Gedeon on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List to start the season. Gedeon, who dealt with concussion issues last season and was placed on injured reserve in December, did not pass his physical over the weekend, and so the team has placed him on the PUP, meaning he can’t practice with the team until he is cleared.
