After allowing the issue to linger for about a month and a half, the Minnesota Vikings have officially ended the 2018 season for one of their starting defensive backs.
Safety Andrew Sendejo, who has not practiced or played since Week 5 because of a groin injury, was placed on injured reserve by the Vikings on Tuesday morning.
Sendejo, who has been the Vikings’ starter at safety next to Harrison Smith since 2015 and been with the Vikings since 2011, has not played since the Week 5 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
