Vikings ownership to launch ESports franchise

If you’re a gamer like I am, I’m sure that at some point while you were growing up, your parents were quite happy to remind you that you were never going to get a job playing video games. Boy, were they wrong.

Competitive gaming is now a pretty huge business, and it appears that the Minnesota Vikings’ ownership group wants in on the action.

According to Sports Business Journal, the Wilf family has announced that they are launching an ESports franchise that will be taking part in a Call of Duty league. The league is expected to kick off in 2020, with franchises already having been announced in Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Paris, and Toronot.
