EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) — Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer held his news conference to wrap up the2015-16 season on Tuesday at Winter Park, and at least one coach on his staff will not be back next season.
Zimmer said the contract for offensive line coach Jeff Davidson will not be renewed. When asked the reasoning, Zimmer said “I didn’t want to.”
The Vikings offensive line was inconsistent all season and it didn’t help the group lost Phil Loadholt and John Sullivan to season-ending injuries. Teddy Bridgewater was sacked 44 times in the regular season and three times against the Seahawks.
