One of Norv Turner's former San Diego players figures he'll be fired up for his first game against his former team.
After coaching the Chargers from 2007-12, Turner was fired. Turner is now offensive coordinator for the Vikings, who play host to San Diego on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium.
"He's definitely going to have those guys ready," said Matt Wilhelm, a Chargers linebacker under Turner in 2007 and 2008 who now does broadcasting work involving the Cleveland Browns. "I'm sure somewhere deep down, him and his family will have had conversations going into the week about wanting to really take it to the San Diego Chargers as a bit of payback.
