Vikings receiver Mike Wallace has been saying all season he's bound to catch a deep pass, and he did Sunday. Kind of.
In Minnesota's 38-17 victory over Chicago at TCF Bank Stadium, Wallace hauled in a 34-yard reception from Teddy Bridgewater over the middle in the second quarter. It was his longest catch of the season by nine yards.
"To me, that's still not a downfield shot," Wallace said. "To you all, that's a downfield shot. I'm used to going 80, so that's a little different. But you take baby steps, baby. ... You've got to take it as you can get it.
