Vikings rookie safety Lewis Cine, their first-round draft pick in April, will have surgery on Tuesday in London after sustaining a left leg fracture during a punt return in Sunday's 28-25 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Cine was taken to a London hospital immediately after being carted off the field in an air cast and had a "successful preparatory procedure," according to a Vikings statement. He will stay in London to begin his recovery with a member of the Vikings medical staff. He will return to Minnesota "at an appropriate time," the team said.
