Although their respective times in Purple were separated by more than a decade, Lee and Warwick are about to share another commonality.
Both will be enshrined in the West Virginia Sports Hall of Fame on May 21 in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
“This is a great honor,” Warwick told the Charleston Gazette-Mail, “and to have two old Vikings like Carl and myself recognized makes it very special.”
Warwick played eight seasons with the Vikings (1965-72) and is tied with Roy Winston and Rip Hawkins for second-most interceptions by a Minnesota linebacker.
