When the Minnesota Vikings hosted the New York Giants, the team exploded for 49 points in a lopsided victory. Bridgewater threw in one touchdown with three additional scores coming on the ground and one defensive score. However, many of the points scored in this game came off the foot of kicker Blair Walsh.
While other kickers had good days, Walsh was a field goal kicking machine. He connected on every single attempt, including 2 from over fifty yards away. His lone miss came on an extra point attempt. Thanks to those efforts, Walsh was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for week 16 according to Vikings.
