Joe Berger never has been an NFL starter for an entire season. That might change this year.
The Vikings center already has started the first six games in place of injured John Sullivan. With Sullivan recently needing a second back surgery, Berger is prepared to go the distance.
"That's the way it sounds,'' Berger said Friday. "You guys (reporters) know as much as I do about it. You prepare week to week and see what happens. We all wanted Sully back seven weeks ago, but that's the way it works sometimes.''
Sullivan underwent surgery before the season and was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return.
