On Friday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings addressed having a sudden shortage at the tight end position by making a handful of roster moves.
The first move the team made was to place tight end Blake Bell on injured reserve, which will end his 2017 season. A former quarterback at the University of Oklahoma, Bell was signed by the Vikings after being released by the San Francisco 49ers during the final cuts of Training Camp this year. On the season, Bell had three catches for 19 yards, and scored on a two-point conversion play last Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
