MANKATO, Minn. -- The candidates range from a player who won a Super Bowl ring four years ago to another who doesn't turn 21 until October.
The Vikings are looking for a third defensive end to back up starters Everson Griffen and Brian Robison. The three in contention are Justin Trattou, who won a championship with the New York Giants; rookie Danielle Hunter, the youngest of the bunch; and Scott Crichton, who might as well be a rookie after playing just 16 snaps in his first year of 2014.
When Corey Wootton was not re-signed as a free agent last spring, that left an opening at defensive end.
