Vikings fullbacks have four regular-season rushing attempts this decade. Zach Line had that many in Saturday's preseason game.
Line finished with 18 yards and a touchdown. He barreled in from the 1-yard line in the first quarter of a 26-16 victory over Tampa Bay.
"We've had that play in for a while," Line said Monday. "It's just a matter of when they call it. So it was a nice opportunity on the goal line."
Offensive coordinator Norv Turner had a fullback in the game for just 175 plays last season. But a big reason for such limited use likely was star running back Adrian Peterson missing all but one game.
