MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Members of the media got a three-hour tour inside the newly completed U.S. Bank Stadium on Tuesday, just days before the public will be able to scope out the new home of the Minnesota Vikings for themselves.
The downtown Minneapolis stadium will be open to public tours on this weekend following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.
The road to a new stadium was a long one for Vikings leadership. It took a total of 16 years to get the stadium through the Legislature and build the $1.1 billion arena where the Metrodome once stood.
