MANKATO, Minn. -- The Vikings will return to Minnesota State Mankato for training camp next summer.
A source said Tuesday the Vikings were ready to announce what would be their 51st camp. The source didn't reveal specifics on the length of the deal.
It's no surprise the Vikings will return. Owner and president Mark Wilf said two weeks ago they were "in the process of talking to the folks here and looking to extend that relationship."
After entering the NFL, the Vikings held training camp at Bemidji State from 1961-65. They shifted to Mankato in 1966 and have been here ever since.
