With three of their quarterbacks out because of COVID-19 protocols until at least Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings are looking at a couple of potential options at quarterback to make sure that third-year man Jake Browning isn’t taking all of the snaps for the next week or so.
As we mentioned yesterday, rookie Kellen Mond tested positive for COVID, and both Kirk Cousins and Nate Stanley were deemed as close contacts, meaning that they’ll have to isolate for five days. That left Browning as the lone quarterback for last night’s practice at TCO Stadium, and by all accounts he did a solid job and may have even locked up the #2 spot on the depth chart.
